Passtimes

Can an eighteenth century blogger fit in to the tech world of the 21st century? On the periphery perhaps. It was an interesting journey and great to be exposed to new forms of social media.It would be nice to reinroduce the whole idea of 'secrets' into the modern world- or maybe that is too old fashioned!! Thomas Coram- Foundling Hospital

The charter for the Foundling Hospital was granted in 1739, when Captain Coram was seventy-one years old. The Hospital took in its first infants in March 1741 using temporary premises in Hatton Garden. These premises were vacated in 1745 when the west wing of the newly built Hospital was completed on the Bloomsbury site in Lamb’s Conduit Fields
